Volgren is an Australian bus body company. Until recently, the company was owned by Volvo, supplying Swedish chassis with bodies for the Australian market. Now Volgren manufactures buses on various chassis for Australia, as well as for export.
Volgren was founded in 1977 and is currently Australia's largest bus company. About 300 buses are produced annually, representing about 35% of the entire Australian market.
The main customers of the company are the bus operators Grenda Transit, Kefford Corp and Dyson.
Volgren has operations in the Australian cities of Dandenong (Victoria) and Malaga (Western Australia) and in New Zealand.
In Hong Kong, Volgren buses are operated on the Volvo B10TL, Volvo B9TL, MAN 24.350, MAN 24.310, Scania K94UB chassis.
In Singapore, Volgren buses also operate on the Volvo B10BLE, Scania L94UB, Mercedes O 405, Hino, Dennis chassis.
The company's products can also be found in Malaysia, Japan and other countries of the Asia-Pacific region.
