IRISBUS History

Some IRISBUS IVECO Bus Manuals PDF are above the page.

In 1999 the French company "Irisbus" was founded, which became one of the divisions of the concern "IVECO", specializing in the production of buses. In the same year, the former subdivision of the Italian concern FIAT for the production of diesel power units was included in Irisbus. By 2002, IVECO became the sole owner of the brand, having bought the remaining 10% of shares from the French government. In the same year, a whole range of Irisbas was introduced, including city and intercity buses, models for the transportation of tourists and open buses, especially popular in European capitals.

In 2005, Irisbas presented its first trolleybus intended for operation in Rome and Prague, but by 2009 the French brand began to supply its trolleybuses to all the major capitals of the European Union. However, the global economic crisis brought the company into a protracted crisis, which led to the reorientation of several divisions of Irisbas. In 2013, after the merger of the Irisbas brand with Icarus, the bankruptcy of its bankruptcy and the disbanding of the bus division of the Iveco brand was announced. All production capacities of the company were included in the FIAT Concern.

When this year the experts were to appoint the best passenger car of 2016, and therefore, it must be a tourist car, the Irisbus brand with its model Magelys, now corresponding to the Euro-6 standards, was notorious to our public. Magelys up to 12, 8 meters long and with a capacity of up to 59 passengers is equipped with Iveco Cursor turbodiesels of different capacities and automatic transmissions of the ZF brand. The very same brand Irisbus arose because of the merger of the bus divisions of Iveco and Renault and is the second largest European bus manufacturer.
