Golden Dragon (Xiamen Golden Dragon Bus Co., Ltd) is a Chinese brand of buses, which is headquartered in Fujian - Xiamen. According to estimates for 2010, the company's capacity allowed to produce up to 15,000 large and medium-sized buses and up to 25,000 small buses per year. In 2011, the company produced more than 43,000 buses. This is the first Chinese manufacturer that entered the European market - in 2010 the company sold 10 buses to Turku. To date, Golden Dragon buses, in addition to China, are supplied to many countries of the world, including Russia, Thailand, Singapore, Egypt.
The lineup is represented by 8 categories of buses. According to the available length - from 5 to 12 meters, they have the corresponding capacity of passengers 9 - 120 seats. The presented vehicles are analogues of well-known brands: Toyota, Nissan, Hino, Setra. Currently, the factory production of XIAMEN independently supplies the presented equipment and spare parts. Bus "Golden Dragon" is manufactured by XIAMEN GD Van Co., LTD, which has been leading its history since 1992.
The key activity of the company is the production and sale of all types of buses under the GOLDEN DRAGON brand. To increase competitiveness, the company is engaged in the introduction of innovative technologies in the production process, creates and employs effective methods and mechanisms for the manufacture of machinery, thanks to which the high quality and reliability results of the products have been achieved. In 1997, the company confirmed the compliance of the products with the quality of ISO 9002 standards accepted in the world, and already in 2002 it received the ISO 9001 certificate of conformity. And in the same year the company took the second place in terms of sales in its segment. The Golden Dragon bus was chosen by the IOC as the official vehicle of the 2008 Summer Olympics.
It is worth noting the progressive development of the company in the last decade, it concerns engineering, innovation, production and quality control of manufactured vehicles. This is confirmed by statistics: in the course of its history, XIAMEN has reached the indicators of 15,000 medium and large, and 25,000 light buses.
Previously, the Golden Dragon bus was associated only with cars 8.4 - 11.4 meters long. Nevertheless, the main difference lies not only in the size of the model, but also, in a reliable air suspension, a clearly working automatic transmission, in the presence of an air conditioner, a rear view camera and a number of other advantages. The nominal capacity of passengers is 95 people, and during peak hours the bus can carry up to 100 people. The car is equipped with a powerful GMF engine. The heating system in the cabin with deflectors directed directly to the floor, prevents the formation of ice during the cold season. The buses are equipped with a 270 diesel engine from YuChai. The transmission "automatic" clearly works, without jerks. Thanks to the optimized technical parameters, the machine has a fast acceleration.
Comparatively inexpensive, and at the same time unpretentious in service and comfortable inside, the "Golden Dragon" buses are widely used on city routes and for long-distance flights. The shuttle buses of this brand in terms of external attractiveness and price characteristics proved to be no worse than Western analogues, this fully applies to corporate transport as well as tourist liners.
Today the Chinese manufacturer presents the Golden Dragon buses in several types of performance: a minibus for 5-15 passengers, a model Golden Dragon Hiace, a low-floor roomy (for 80 people) city bus Golden Dragon XML 6125, a tourist bus for 49 seats Golden Dragon XML-6126 . All presented buses are equipped with US-made power units, and transmission parts with a pneumatic brake system are manufactured by WABCO (Belgium).
The new model in the GOLDEN DRAGON line is a tourist liner XML 6126 ..
